Hi, I’m Johanna…

I spent over two decades living with chronic pain thanks to Endometriosis, a systemic inflammatory/immune disorder. Migraines were the symptom that put me over the edge, and sent me looking for solutions in places I hadn’t looked before. Anti-inflammatory eating is what finally relieved my chronic pain, helped me to rewrite my story and gave me the ability to participate in the world and look forward to the years ahead.

Along the way, learning how to best fuel my body, I learned some lessons about our food and food systems that I immediately wished I could share with everyone I know and love. Food can be such a nourishing, medicinal presence in our lives if we get connected to it in the right ways.

In 2020, I decided to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, completing my studies with the Nutritional Therapy Association. This allows me to educate people about how their food and lifestyles affect their bodies and help problem solve discomforts ranging from digestive to hormonal or skeletal.

My areas of passion are: inflammation, hormone balance, and digestive function

When I’m not problem solving acid reflux or abdominal pains with clients, I’m enjoying the outdoors, traveling, reading, playing the piano, cooking for family and friends, moving my body (RYT 200 Yoga Teacher Certification), and spending time with my husband, one-year old, and two dogs on our farm in Maryland.
